Titanic

RC model with gigantic dimensions
With a length of almost 1.9 meters, this is the largest kit we can offer you as a remote-controlled model.

History:
RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner that sank in the North Atlantic Ocean on 15 April 1912 after colliding with an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton, UK to New York City, US. The sinking of Titanic caused the deaths of more than 1,500 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in modern history. The RMS Titanic was the largest ship afloat at the time it entered service. Titanic was the second of three Olympic class ocean liners operated by the White Star Line, and was built by the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast with Thomas Andrews as her naval architect. Andrews was among those lost during the sinking. On her maiden voyage, she carried 2,224 passengers and crew.

The kit:
The model is built in the classic keel and frame construction. The installation of the engines and the outer shafts is already planned. The engines are not included in the kit. The central propeller is designed as a dummy and remains firm. The hull is covered with a layer of wooden strips and sanded. Only then are the lasered strips with the innumerable portholes put on.
In addition to the countless and wonderfully detailed laser components, the large etching plates with window frames and ornaments are a special eye-catcher for the builder.

Billing Boats is a traditional model building company from Denmark with beautiful ship types from the North Sea, but also with famous classics such as the Calypso or African Queen. Mr. Billing himself invented the semi-hull construction method, in which two halves of the hull are first built flat on the building board and then assembled. The 600 series by Billing Boats is manufactured in this construction method, which is very suitable for beginners. In the last three years Billing Boats unfortunately had a very difficult phase, out of which the company is constantly and with great commitment of the Billing family working out again. However, at times longer delivery times or unexpected production bottlenecks must be expected, for which the family asks for understanding and patience.

Billing Boats also consistently uses laser technology to cut out the wooden parts and supplies beautiful fittings made of plastic and brass. The kits are always designed for quality at an affordable price.
