Smit Rotterdam
The Smit Rotterdam was built in 1975 for Smit International BV in Holland. When it was completed, it was the largest and most powerful tugboat in the world, with a displacement of 2,273 t, a length of 75 m and 22,000 hp. It can reach 16.5 knots. The boat has bulb sterns and bow thrusters, and the equipment includes the latest in navigation, steering and radio communications.
This kit is based on classic frame construction. All wooden parts are precisely cut out with laser. A 1:1 construction plan, illustrated building instructions with parts list, as well as all wooden, plastic and hardware parts required for assembly are included.
In addition to the remote control, batteries, rudder servo, speed controller, paints and adhesives, motors, motor mount and shaft coupling are also required. If the model is to be equipped with further functions, sound module and lights can make the model appear even more realistic.
