Belt drive cpl. 1 set
The belt drive of the Titanic from Mantua, for example, is the force connection between the electric motor and the stern shaft.
The belt drive has several advantages:
Reduction reduces the speed at the propeller and improves efficiency.
The shaft system can be placed deeper and more compactly in the fuselage than with the direct drive.
The running noises are lower than with gear reductions
If the propeller is blocked, the rubber ring acts as a friction clutch.

The set consists of two aluminium pulleys (30/10 mm) and a rubber ring. This results in a reduction ratio of 3:1.
