Gretel kit
The Gretel was built in the middle of the 18th century according to design plans by Fredrik Af Chapman and is a particularly successful example of the excursion boats and pleasure boats of that time. The design already bears much resemblance to the layout of modern yachts. Interesting about the Gretel is their respectable in relation to the hull sail area. She was certainly traveling comparatively fast.
The relatively small kit does not make too much demands on the skill of the modeler. Nevertheless, the blueprints are in no way inferior to those of larger ships. Thanks to the use of different types of woods and finely executed ornaments, this model is perfectly suitable for completion without any painting.
The manual contains overall views on a scale of 1: 1 and many illustrations showing the details and the construction process. The texts in the construction manual are multilingual. In addition to German, English, French and Italian texts are also included. Material for the stand and the sails complete the equipment of the kit.
