GOLDENE YACHT

Die Goldene Yacht wurde in den Jahren 1678 bis 1679 von Schiffsbaumeister Peckelhering in Kolberg gebaut, dem dabei die Yacht des Prinzen Wilhelm III. von Oranien als Vorbild diente. Die Yacht war mit 8 Geschützen bewaffnet. Die Besatzung bestand aus 12 Mann, konnte jedoch im Kriegsfall auf 50 Mann erweitert werden.
Über den Einsatz der Goldenen Yacht in der brandenburgischen Kriegsflotte ist wenig bekannt. Sie war im Hafen von Pillou, später bis 1700 in Berlin und danach in Emden stationiert, wo sie schließlich auch abgewrackt wurde.

Die Modellkonstruktion der Goldenen Yacht ist verhältnismäßig einfach und verlangt keine hohen Anforderungen an die Geduld des Modellbauers. Das Modell ist jedoch beeindruckend durch die reichlich vorhandenen Verzierungen. Das Rankenwerk des Schanzkleides liegt als geätzte Kupferplatte, die übrigen Dekorationen als Metallguss dem Baukasten bei. Selbstverständlich sind auch bei diesem Modellbaukasten die Holzteile ausgesägt.

Als Ergänzung ist für die Goldene Yacht ein Satz fertig genähte Segel unter der Bestellnummer 61986 erhältlich.
