WASA
Die Wasa, wurde in den Jahren 1626 bis 1628 von dem holländischen Schiffsbaumeister Henrik Hybertsson für den schwedischen König Gustav Adolf II gebaut. Sie sollte die Vorherrschaft in der Ostsee sichern. Das Schiff hatte eine Wasserverdrängung von 1400 Tonnen und die gewaltige Segelfläche von 1150 qm, bei einer Länge von 62 m und einer Höhe von 50 m. Die Wasa ist eines der bekanntesten historischen Schiffe, nicht zuletzt durch den tragischen Untergang während der Jungfernfahrt. Erst 1956 wurde das Wrack geortet und 1959 bis 1961 geborgen. Heute steht die Wasa im Hafen von Stockholm.
Der Modellbaukasten ist mit großer Sorgfalt von Corel aus Italien hergestellt. Spanten und Decks sind ausgeschnitten. Die zahlreichen Gussverzierungen sind vergoldet. Der Beschlagsatz enthält alle Kleinteile aus Holz oder Metall.
Alternativ ist für die Wasa ein Satz fertig genähte Segel unter der Artikel-Nr. 62090 erhältlich.
