Die Leida findet ihren Ursprung in einem jener typischen holländischen
Fischerboote des 18. ,Jahrhunderts. Der berühmte Schiffskonstrukteur Frederic
Chapman hat dieses Schiff mit einigen sparsamen aber sehr hübschen Verzierungen
versehen und somit ein originelles und elegantes Ausflugsschiff gestaltet.
Typisch für die holländischen Yachten sind die berühmten Seitenschwerter, die es
ermöglichen, auch in sehr flachen Gewässern zu segeln.
Der Baukasten von Corel enthält Kiel und Spanten fertig ausgesägt, alle
Beschlagteile aus Holz, Metallguss und geätztem Messing sowie Segelstoff und
eine ausführliche Bauanleitung mit Bauplan.
