- Description
Endeavour - English challenger America's Cup 1934
The schooner Endeavour made her mark with victories in the first two races of
the America's Cup. The third race promised to be the most exciting. But destiny
played a trick on the crew and its owner Sir Thomas Sopwith and the Endeavour
lost this race against the Rainbow.
The kit contains a prefabricated
plastic hull made of polystyrene. The prefabricated hull shortens the
construction time considerably. Also, difficulties that can arise when planking
a hull in keel on frame construction are eliminated from the outset. The
superstructure, mast and deck are made of wood. Also included are many brass and
wooden fittings. In addition to the plan, the illustrated derivation gives the
modeller very good assistance at every stage of construction. Printed fabric
sail and a stand are also included.
A nice kit of the J-Class Yacht
Rainbow is also available in this construction method under item no. 25051. So
you can put both competitors as an eye-catcher in your living room.
If
you are looking for a greater challenge in building the Endeavour yacht, the kit
item no. 25010, in keel and frames wooden construction, is a good alternative.
