Calypso
Prototypical model of Jaques Yves Cousteau's ocean research vessel.
The original was built in the USA in 1942 as a minesweeper, purchased by Jacques Yves Cousteau in 1950 and, after extensive modifications and adaptations, transformed into a fully equipped ocean research vessel. The equipment includes, among other things, an observation chamber in the stern, an oval diving bell, a Galäzzi pressure chamber, an inflatable boat for trips in shallow water, a helicopter and extensive underwater equipment.

Construction kit:
This kit features a deep-drawn ABS hull and laser-cut wooden parts. Rudder,
ship's shaft with stern tube and propeller are designed for propulsion with
electric motor. All fitting parts are included with building plan and
instructions.
