Folland Gnat Construction plan
The original: In 1962, the Royal Airfore equipped its flying schools with
the Folland Gnat (Mück). It fulfilled all the requirements expected of a modern
trainer at that time. It was robust, economical and fast. The maximum speed at
9400 m altitude was 0.95 Mach, which is 1160 km/h.
This model will prove to
be equally robust and fast. It can be built very lightly, making it ideal for
impeller propulsion.
The technical data refers to the finished model and
not to the construction plan.
